Kaw Nation Business Services Operations Director: (Full Time)
Location: Kaw City, OK

Ready for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Must have excellent communication and computer skills. Must have record of financial background, knowledge of sales and strategic planning skills. Ability to travel and work flexible hours. The Business Operation Director will oversee the activities of workers; hire, train and evaluate new employees. The Business Operations Director will ensure that Kaw Nation Business Services (KNBS) meets the financial goals set by the Kaw Nation. The Business Operation Director will develop and implement budgets, prepare reports and ensure that KNBS is in compliance with Kaw Nation policies. The Business Operation Director will continually assess the performance of KNBS against the goals and plans set for KNBS by the Kaw Nation. The Business Operation Director must be able to set goals, motivate and develop KNBS employees. Required: BA/BS in business related field, education might be substituted for at least five years experience in similar position. Successful candidates are subject to drug testing. Salary commensurate with experience.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: KAW NATION GAMING COMMISSION

SALARY: Commensurate with Experience

GENERAL FUNCTION
The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Kaw Nation Gaming Commission. The Executive Director provides administrative support to the Kaw Nation Gaming Commission, including managing and supervising Kaw Nation Gaming Commission staff, consultants, and contractors, records management, and the development and oversight of the Kaw Nation Gaming Commission budget. The Executive Director is responsible for the protection of the integrity of all gaming related activities of the Kaw Nation by ensuring all policies, procedures and gaming activities are in compliance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the Minimum Internal Control Standards of the National Indian Kaw Nation Gaming Commission, the Tribal-State Compact, the Kaw Nation Gaming Ordinance and Tribal Internal Control Standards.

Librarian / Learning Center Coordinator: (Full-time)

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences or a related field or equivalent experience. Must be able to set priorities, organize, coordinate work efficiently, and to establish good personal relations with the public and other workers. This position will be responsible for the management of the Kaw Nation Learning Center and library operations. Grant Compliance/ Program Development Specialist: Full-time

Educational requirements include a minimum of an Associates degree in Business, Sociology, Education, or related field; a Bachelors degree preferred. At least two (2) years of experience at the level required for the position may be substituted for educational requirements. Must possess adequate verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical writing abilities. Candidate will have verifiable success in grant and contract development skills for at least two (2) years. Must have at least three (3) years exhibited familiarity with federal grant program organization, administration, control, and other management skills. Must also demonstrate an understanding and capabilities in evaluation research and application. Requires a High School diploma or GED with at least two (2) years related office experience including basic clerical skills, computer skills (spreadsheets & Microsoft Excel). The applicant must have intermediate math skills especially figuring fractions to determine fractioned degree of blood for enrollment purposes. Candidate must be able to read and understand Federal and Tribal policies pertaining to enrollment. Summer Environmental Intern: (2 Part Time)
Location: Kaw City, OK

The Kaw Nation is looking for two (2) summer interns to work part-time in our environmental department. Responsibilities include water, fish and micro invertebrates sampling and analysis, mowing, controlled burns, data entry and other environmental related duties. Position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and data entry-level computer skills. Must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants with some college training preferred. This position will require 20 hours per week at a pay rate of $8.00 per hour for a High School graduate, $10.00 per hr for a college graduate. Hours will be during the mornings.

The Kaw Nation’s Kanza Clinic, located in Newkirk, OK, is seeking a licensed physician. Candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited United States Medical school.

At least two (2) years experience in general/family practice is preferred. Experience providing healthcare to Native Americans preferred. Applicant may not have any unresolved malpractice suits pending against him/her and shall not have any unresolved complaints on file in any state where he/she has a license to practice medicine. Experience with computerized medical records systems preferred. Computer literacy required.
