Project Manager

Location: Kaw City, OK

The Kaw Nation is seeking a qualified Projects manager for a project in Kaw City.

Qualifications include a Degree in Business or related field with at least three years experience in construction field.  Would consider technical training with five years experience in construction.  Must be familiar with bid process, site development, environmental and OSHA regulations related to construction .  Prefer experience in Spec writing.  Must be able to work with architect, contractors, and other workers.  Qualified Native Americans will be given priority in hiring.

Lifeguard/Receptionist: (Part time)

Location: Newkirk

The Kaw Nation is seeking a part-time (approx. 29 hrs per week) lifeguard/Receptionist in our wellness center in Newkirk, OK . Applicants with American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications will be preferred. Position will monitor activities within the pool area and enforce rules to prevent accidents. Additional duties include doing receptionist work when pool is not being used. Ability to work a flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, emergency) is a plus.

The Kaw Nation is seeking a part-time librarian for our facility in Kaw City, OK.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED and/or one (1) year related office and/or administrative experience including clerical and computer skills in a Windows environment. Relevant education, training or experience may substitute. Must be proficient in word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), and computer literate. Must be able to set priorities, organize, coordinate work efficiently, and to establish good personal relations with other workers and the public. Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and maintain such status, as well as possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be and continue to be insurable. The Housing Authority of the Kaw Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma (“KHA”) is seeking applications for the full time salaried position of Executive Director.   Responsible for day-to-day operations, financial management, and overall administration of operations of KHA. Supervises staff, provides information and advice to Board of Commissioners, and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and requirements. Reports to Board of Commissioners. The Kaw Nation’s Kanza Clinic, located in Newkirk, OK, is seeking a licensed physician. Candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited United States Medical school.

At least two (2) years experience in general/family practice is preferred. Experience providing healthcare to Native Americans preferred. Applicant may not have any unresolved malpractice suits pending against him/her and shall not have any unresolved complaints on file in any state where he/she has a license to practice medicine. Experience with computerized medical records systems preferred. Computer literacy required.
