What will my child do at KECDC?

A variety of areas are offered for self-directed, and teacher led activities to promote the development of:

  • Social/emotional skills
  • Gross/fine motor skills
  • Language/communication
  • Cognitive skills
  • Literacy

Our Language Department comes to our center one to two times a week to work with the children on our Kaw language.  We also collaborate with JOM in cultural activities; the children attend the Summer Day Camp JOM puts together.  Throughout the Summer a variety of educational and fun field trips are set up.

Meals

Children are served breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.  The toddlers are also given a late morning snack.

Our menu is approved by our Kaw Nation nutritionist to ensure healthy and well-balanced meals.  We use a four-week rotating menu, which consists of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon
